Solo Tunes: Coming out of the period of intense isolation that was quarantine in New York City, I recorded these songs on tape with producer Julianne Mason in her home studio in Queens, New York in the summer of 2022. After that, Julianne was left to her own…layering her multi-instrumental prowess to add texture to each song. These were songs that I wrote in my bedroom alone; songs that I tried out with various bands through the years that ended up on the cutting room floor. Dark Night Bloom grew out of singer/songwriter/guitarist/bassist Crista Giuliani’s long term indie rock band Automatic Children. AC played at the Studio at Webster Hall, The Knitting Factory, The Highline Ballroom, The Move Music Festival and CMJ Music Festival several times.

Dark Night Bloom’s first single “The Truth” was produced, mixed and mastered by Grammy nominated Oliver Straus at Mission Sound in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, New York. Written by Crista Giuliani with Ed Vail on bass, Andrew Thornton on drums and Adam Lippman on guitar.
